Microsofts XBOX live account server is crapping itself. The answer: Go do something else til tomorrow and *hopefully* MS will have its act together by then. Seriously guys its a server issue so stop asking how to fix, its on Microsofts end so it could be
fixed in ten minutes could be five hours.

Depends greatly on how badly they have to hose the server down.

keep getting this damn error code 0x800488FC

 

The fact that we can all still connect to internet and its just a sign in issue makes me think its definitely not an xbox server issue. I mean its not even letting you do anything without signing in which is normal but xbox should let you sign in without
internet right? (You cant play games offline or access your account at all.) Also makes me hope we all aren't screwed with some hardware issue that has to get replaced.

 

whats really infuriating is that we are all signed in right now on our pc's talking about not being able to sign in. wtf is that about?

 

yeah like I said I hope its not a bug that someone hacked xbox servers and damaged all our hardware making it impossible to sign in or something

 

Microsoft has done a horrible job with this, might as well buy the playstation 5 when it comes out

i doubt it is anything that big. especially considering my xbox was not even hooked up overnight last night so my stuff wouldnt have been effected if that were the case. i just feel like they arent too worried about a bunch of people wanting to come home
and play some video games! its annoying

everyone in the Northwestern area is experiencing this problem I believe but if you go into network settings and go to Wi-Fi settings or wireless connections you can press go offline and then sign in but you can only play games that do not require Xbox
Live.

 

Got the same message. Xbox support isnt really helping and nothing they are reccomdening is working? So i figure, if i unplug my xbox and plug my playstation back in, then i can watch my shows and play games?? Wtf is up xbox. Fix this.
