    ive googled this code and just get a bunch of stuff about outlook error codes. There is one forum I found but the dude sounded like an **** so there were no replies. I get this error if I play the new minecraft better together and try to do anything when
    im done and I just get this error code and have to hard reset my xbox every time. Entered the code into the xbox site and came back with nothing. Please help if you can, this is very frustrating.

    I have the same error code but it happens when booting up my xbox then it goes to a black screen. I´m not able to find anything online except that it's an outlook error code. Hopefully some one can give us an answer.

    Interesting that searching for this exact error code on https://support.xbox.com/en-US/error-code-lookup?code=0x80040900

    "Sorry! No Support articles were found for "0x80040900".

    Tips for trying again:

    If the error code begins with the letter “E,” try searching on the first part of the code.

    Example For “E305 L: 0000000080000001,” search for “E305.”

    If the error code is 24 digits long, try searching on the last 8 digits.

    Example For “Error 417f-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-8007-2746” (where the letter “x” can be any number), search for “80072746.”

    Looks like the OS's GUI fails, and one needs to fully power off (power button for 6 seconds, wait 20 sec, power on).

    For me a power cycle fixes the black screen.

    I’m having the exact same issue, but it persists past reboot. When I turn the console off and wait. Then power it back on the screen immediately says yellow michael and then goes black. The only function that works is long old the Xbox button and it displaces
    the turn off the console or controller screen.

    Unplugging and reseating the power cable brings it back to normal.

    I found that i had to restore my xbox here are the steps: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/reset-console-to-factory-defaults that fixed it right
    up.
