Unable to do anything.. startup comes directly to this error message.

hitting xbox (menu button) does not thing except trigger error message again.

I can hit close and repeat error message in endless loop.

Cannot even see login / menu screen. I can restart my counsel and when I start it again, it goes right back to the error message.

I've got the same problem. I don't know what to do.

 

I've been trying to start my xbox one since yesterday. It doesn't even load the home or anything, i just keep getting the error screen with the two following options: "restart this xbox" and "troubleshoot". I tried following the
steps written in the support page. I can't do the hard reset and keep my games, i only get the option to remove everything. I tried to do the offline update, but when the update download is at 70%, the xbox shuts down and goes to that annoying error screen
again. I think this problem may be related to the update. What can I do to fix this without having to delete everything?

 

Hi there,

since you mentioned you can't do anything when the console starts, please try these steps:

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
   
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug the power cord back in.
4. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the
   EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
   Xbox button on the console.
5. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. Note If you don't hear two power-up tones after 15 seconds, it means this failed. Likewise, if you hear any “power-down” chirps, that also means this failed.
7. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

If all went correctly this should show a menu where you can choose the option to Factory Reset the console, please try that step.
