    So i am having this problem where my xbox one won't connect to laptop. I am not getting it like i did everything. I hard rest it I unplug the wifi for 30 seconds. i did the whole 9 yards. Like what am I doing wrong. It's on the xbox one smart glass. I even
    looked up the console ip address and got it. I don't know what else to do.

    Same with me but have never been able to connect with two Surface RT and my Nokia 920. All give same error 0x8000001E or 0x80000006.

    I believe this is a general connection issue. Ensure your phone and xbox are on the same home network. (Phone must be on the same wifi as the Xbox).

    I've heard that a simple router reboot will also fix a lot of the general connection issues in the XboxOne Smartglass app.

    Thank you for replying. I followed the steps but I don't think it worked. The console didn't restart, it sent me to the troubleshooting page. So I went ahead and clicked offline update which then failed. Again. I got the same error message again.

    "There was a problem with the update." with error code 0x8007045D 0x00000000 0x80000006

    Xbox One can't connect with SmartGlass on Surface Pro

    I'm having this issue also, but with error 0x80000006. Both my Android devices and my Windows 8 PC get the same error :(

    PC is hardwired into the same network as the Xbox One, and the Android devices are connected to the same router via wifi.

    I've tried to connect with the IP address, and with the auto-detect in SmartGlass, but get the same error regardless.
