0x409 Unable to Sign in + Gears of War 4

Hi there,

I recently bought Gears of War 4 on my PC, and upon downloading it, it just gave me a 'unable to sign in to xbox' error. So I looked it up and have tried a multitude of fixes, and I'm reaching the end of my rope. Here is what I've tried:

- Reinstalling Xbox via Powershell.

- Windows Update

- System repairs

- Setting the Xbox Services to 'Automatic'

- Checked C:\Users\Userprofile\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_8wekyb3d8bbwe for any cache files or accounts, and I haven't found any so it would seem to me that there is no account even saved to my device. With that said, I have never
used the Xbox service up until now and I have never got the option to put in my e-mail address and password; it's just asking me to sign in.

It's not a network error because I wouldn't be here otherwise, and ontop of that my Xbox account obviously works because I'm using it at this very moment. This is the first game I've bought on my PC through Microsoft/XBOX services, going a bit mental.

Would appreciate some advice.

Gears of War 4 pc error message

When I press start on the gears of war 4 menu, it displays: "An error has occurred please try again later. Failed to sign in to an xbox live profile" and I am unable to play the game. I also can't log into my xbox app because it gives me: " We can't sign
you in right now. Try again later". (0x409) 0x80080300 Which I think might be part of the gow4 problem.

To resolve Error (0x409) 0x80080300, we would suggest you try the following methods below:



Method 1: Check for Store Updates.



1. Open Windows Store. ( Press Windows key and click on Store tile)



2. Click on the USER icon and select Download and update.



3. Click on Check for Updates.



4. If there are any pending updates available select Update All.





Method 2: Reset Windows store



1.Press Windows key + X and click on Command Prompt (Admin) to open the Elevated Command Prompt. (If prompted for a password, type the password and click Allow)



2. Type WSreset.exe and hit Enter.



3. Exit Command Prompt.
