(0x409) 0xD000000D

I'm running Windows 10 Insider build 16170.rs_prerelease.170331-1532 and my Xbox app will not allow me to sign in. It produces the error referenced in the title.

DUDE! Does anybody know how to fix it and sign in?

Hi,

There are several reasons why you are getting error (0x409) 0xD000000D. Here are two methods on how to troubleshoot error (0x409) 0xD000000D.

Method 1:

* To isolate the problem with signing in on Xbox App, here is a
link on how to download and use the Apps Troubleshooter.

Method 2:

Please follow the instructions on how to uninstall Xbox App:

1. Type powershell into the Start menu or Taskbar search box, right click it and choose "Run as administrator".

2. Type or copy-paste the following command:

*Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxApp | Remove-AppxPackage

3. Wait till the process is done and then type "exit" to close PowerShell.

4. Press Enter key.

Note: After uninstalling the Xbox app, I suggest you to download and install the app again and check.

Update us if the issue still persists.

I have the same issue. I've completed all the steps in Jarcas022187's response, but this makes no difference. Is there another solution please?

I had to roll back to the previous version of Windows (I'm running Insider Preview builds). After I rolled back it began working again.
