I scooped this off the internet for y'all:

The BF3 or BF4 Server that you're playing on is constantly updating your local machine (computer) with the data on where other players are actually located on the Game Map.

The unreported data (player movements etc.) during the times in between these updates being sent by the server and your machine receiving the data have to be estimated or plotted in order for the game to render smooth player movements via your graphics.

This nuance often creates situations where it appears (on your machine) that a player is at point x which is where you fire a few rounds (or a whole clip if ur me or C0pa) and the target is not phased or at least he's got enough health to respond quickly with
a lethal blast leaving you mad, dead, and if your Jim, shouting a few favorite choice words in our TeamSpeak.

By moving the slider all the way to the left (off) you get a truer visual rendering of where the target actually is in the game map which should lend to better accuracy, hit box detection, etc.

By turning it off or down by moving it to the left you may experience some jumps in game play. To what level you experience the jumps in frames depends on a variety of factors from your ping to your hardware. Test it out and see.

I will gladly sacrifice the smooth knifing animation (which will be impacted)

for more accurate model renderings any day.

In Technical Terms: Setting the slider all the way to the left (off) leaves approximately 30ms for new data to arrive from the server to your local machine before rendering the data to the "graph", meaning, animations jerk around more, but are displayed "truer'.

Setting the slider all the way to the right (max), tells your local machine to wait longer for updates from the server, giving your local machine more data to work with, so it can interpolate or "smooth" the model movements. This makes the game all nice and
pretty like you "Ultra Settings" guys like it.

Getting killed by a ghost still sucks. Doesn't matter if it is a jerky ghost or a smooth ghost.

What vibro said, it has nothing to do with graphics, nothing, fuss all you want, still nothing to do with graphics, just latency

If you set it to 0 it allows you to compensate insread of telling the machine to show you something that isnt there, when i set mine to 0 my kd skyrocked from .6 to over 1 and still climbing, so dont sett it down, and come play opposite me

Why is it that only in hard-core you feel the effect of health loss, like the poor vision, even some immobility would be nice, instead YOU are the same as if you were 100% when you were really 1-0%, an yes not counting today for the past two days I have
been killed by 10 Zombies an I remember every last one of them!

They should do something like in the old Tom Clancey GR games.I cant recall the version/year, but I clearly remember commanding a squad of shot up criples. As you got more and more wounded, you whould start limbing, and as the squad advanced the wounded men
whould fall behind untill you toke the time to heal there wounds, but I could imagine it effecting all sorts of aspects of the gameplay.not just youre ability to run/move, but also turningspeed, and the ADS-Like xXBOXxONE describes there could be some pain
loss of vision connectet to ADS when wounded in youre arms/upperbody.

Anyway thx to everyone for all the free advise on the networksmoothingfactor.I'll definately go and set it low, but I was thinking if that grafics thing I feel like im experiencing could have to do with me being on the old xbox360, and some of you being
on the xbox1.With the grafics being 10 times better than what you could posseble achive on the 360 it might not be so important wether youre you set it high , or set it low. The grafics look amasing no matter what LoL

I've been reading that the 0% thing is a bug that shows your health as opposed to the guy who shot you - who is clearly still alive. IMO its a minor nuisance. I died, he lived, then end.

Its not hit detection its latency, shooting where he is as opposed to where he was, as the slider goes up toward 100 the game slows the exchange of info to smooth anamations at 0 that isnt happening at all

Not trying to start a fuss with anyone (just don't see how players can't). I use 120Hz HDTV in 1080i with my games and I am not blind have a great eye when it comes to this YES there is a big graphics difference when turning the net smooth factor down.
