need help on xbox one disc not reading!

You may need to install the Blu-Ray player app - this can actually help with reading game discs if some aren't reading.

I'm on my 3rd xbox one due to disc drive failures,exactly the same issue as you.

The disc still needs to be read to verify it & cleaning the disc won't help in my experience.

Your only options are to send it in for repair or go all digital.

The optical drive in the Xbox One is a Blu-ray drive. Xbox One discs are on Blu-ray disc, same as HD Blu-ray movies. Xbox 360 games came on DVD disc.

Oversimplifying my explanation a little, the Xbox One has separate lasers for reading DVD discs than it does for reading Xbox One blu-ray discs.

The laser that is used to read DVD's has failed. This isn't a software issue, it's a hardware one. Unfortunately you can't fix this yourself, you'll need your console repaired. Sorry.

Sorry to hear about the disc troubles. Is your Xbox One console able to read other Xbox One game discs? If your copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 continues to experience disc read errors while other discs work, that may indicate the disc needs to be replaced.

Is it just this one game or do other Xbox 360 discs have issues?

The Series X optical drive contains two lasers, one for reading DVD discs and one for reading Blu-Ray discs.

Have you also tried DVD movie discs to see if they play? They must be DVD discs, not HD or UHD BD discs.

Unfortunately if the drive has a fault reading discs, you'll need to get it repaired. If your console is out of warranty it will be at a cost.
