    So I thought I was being smart and decided to deep clean my Xbox controller I grabbed some nail polish remover acetone thinking it would do the trick and at first it looked great But then things went south fast A few minutes later this weird white powdery stuff started coming off the shell and now the buttons are super sticky and almost impossible to press It literally feels like the plastic is melting My controller went from looking premium to looking like a 5 dollar bootleg knockoff from a sketchy alleyway Has anyone else been this genius before Is there any way to save the shell and the buttons or is this a total loss

    However, I find it appropriate to ask some questions:

    — Where are you from? Just your country.

    — Does your physical location, Microsoft account region, and payment method the same?

    These questions are asked because in order to purchase a content in a specific marketplace and despite being physically located in that country, you need to use a payment method billed and issued in the same country.

    For example, if your Microsoft account region is the US, to purchase in the US marketplace you need a card from a bank in the US.

    Please be aware that cards from other countries, even with international use enabled, will not be accepted.

    So, the message you see about changing the store region appears because: (based on the previous example)
    A. The card used is not from the US.
    B. Your Microsoft account region is not set in the US.
    C. You're not physically located in the US.

    Furthermore, please refrain from sharing personal information, including email addresses, gamertags, etc.

    As community users, we are not able to enter or check your account information, and everything we comment can be seen by anyone on the internet.

    I need help with my controller

    Hi Tyron, my name is Oskayra, it is my pleasure to answer your question.

    I have experience with that error the PowerA Advantage driver you received needs an update and the paddles will not work until the update is done.

    To update the driver, follow the steps below:

    1) Connect the driver to the PC using a USB cable.

    2) Open the PowerA HQ application.

    3) Click the "Update Driver" button.

    4) Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.

    5) Once the update is complete, the paddles should work properly.

    Here are some additional tips for updating the controller:

    1) Make sure the controller is connected to a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port.

    2) If the update does not start automatically, click the "Update Driver" button again.

    3) If the update fails, try restarting the PC and the controller.

    If you have followed these steps and the paddles still do not work, you can contact PowerA technical support.

    I'm sorry guys, your responses may be correct but I entirely forgot to mention that I am playing on PC. I'm connecting my controller via bluetooth if that helps either. Although in the Xbox Accessories app even if the controller is plugged in there is
    no status about battery.

    Hello there I would say that you don’t need to worry about overcharging mainly everything these days have things built in so they cannot take in any more charge

    this will not break or explode your controller

    there are safety things in place to make sure these things don’t happen
