    New release gamepass DRM permissions.


    Alpha Skip, Triangle of no-permission, both of today's new game releases. Coming soon notices gone, titles store info shows as included with game pass.

    Normally, I'd say nothing, but this is different then past releases and how they progress. This may be WAY early, but fellow ring participants, comment on similar issues if you're having them.

    If true, and it looks to be, Sony just won.

    In reading the news release, it still appears that publishers can use DRM, even on the PS 4. Sony says "it will be up to the publishers" . Hasn't it always been the publishers who would push for DRM?

    they decided to do it this way as it is their way of drm.

    you should not have to be reformatting everytime, and you can have games spread across multiple drives, i never had an issue with this kind of thing up until i ditched gamepass.

    i have several games installed across drives with no issues.

    are your drives in ntfs, have you changed any permissions on any of the windowapps folders.

    How do I copy / backup PC Game pass game files to an external SSD?

    You can't, it is their DRM, each service uses different ways to protect files (DRM) in Microsofts case they lock down the permissions of the folders so you cannot access them and if you do it breaks the DRM, even if you could copy the files you could not put them back and use them.
