Account being logged out from XBSX controller when it goes into idle standby?

I have the exact same issue. Trying to tell me it's my connection speed. Hmmmm funny how I only experience it the day I update. And yes mine is doing it when idle or playing single player games. BUT doesn't disconnect when connected by Ethernet. Try that.
I think they shafted the wireless so it goes into standby when not being used personally.

you can't unplug it. so its not off Like standby mode in a tv, its still plugged in. and if you press your remote when in standby?

If kinect and the controller interact with infra red when on ,why wouldn't you just sync the controller through kinect when off,

It would make more sense as kinect is a controller too, I think all the tech to sync the controller is in kinect. The xbox then only has one controller input to deal with, and it all comes from kinect, even when kinect is in standby.

There has to be a legitimate reason why you can't unplug kinect, MS not just being funny

More than likely this has nothing to do with your connection but a setting in your router. I've seen this before multiple times, and each time it's been a router issue.

You should be able to test this by bypassing your router and directly connect your Xbox 360 to your Cable/DSL modem using your Ethernet cable and see if you still get logged out within the stated time period.

Please reply with the router model and firmware version your router is running on as well as the Cable/DSL modem model number that you're using.

Hm, interesting, so it would seem that the setting it somewhat set in your router that's causing this to occur.
