My Xbox One S factory reseting for the 2nd time after an update

Have you tried a factory reset and try doing an offline system update ? To me it seems you corrupted the os on the xbox installed to the internal drive. If you interrupted the update. So i suggest doing a fresh system update while offline after a factory reset. Apart from that any change in the boot animation aka the boot logo when you first boot up the xbox. The time it takes to get to the dashboard before and after this happened. That happened to my xbox series s regardless of being in standby and powersaving.

I have done each of those steps several times. One month after the warranty ended this happened. Am I hearing that since I can’t do the offline update and I can’t even factory reset my Xbox I have to pay $250 to get it factory reset?

Tried the soft factory reset but no change. This is the 2nd update that I've had trouble with. The 1st stopped my controller from syncing and now this. Not happy at all.

2nd paragraph and the same as the Microsoft support employee told me

After some time, I am now certain it was the October update that “broke” my xbox. I did mention I had a 2nd system, and now it is performing as bad, if not worse than the 1st one. Not only does it have problems staying connected, but now it downloads at
an immensely decreased rate, and it won’t run games from my external hardrive, labeling them as “corrupt.”

I’m not opposed to thinking a factory reset might work, but that would mean completely removing everything I have on the system (that being a lot). And like I said, it is a problem on BOTH xboxes, meaning I would have to do 2 factory resets.

I can with upmost certainty say it is not an issue with my router, as every other device works perfectly. I can also state it is not coincidence that both systems started having the same problems shortly after being exposed to the October update.
