Newest update spontaneously does a factory reset

well i figured it out.

when I downloaded the newest System update there was a glitch but it was still installed fully.

so I had to do a "Factory Reset" and redownload the update again.

Just to confirm, the user needs to record all settings on the router, navigate the administration area and find the "reset to factory defaults option" and enable it. Once reset, then navigate in and update the firmware to the newest release and re-enter
the settings written down. Am I correct?

Don't quite know if you've heard but this "beta", isn't quite a "beta" anymore. It's now the full fledged released version of the dashboard. It's not possible to roll back to another dashboard as it would be impossible for you to connect to Xbox LIVE.

As far as your issues of loading slowly, or not reading your hard drive, it's a coincidence that this started happening after you've received the beta. It sounds like you have a hard drive issue, not something with the console or the beta.

Please try out the steps given to you by Yscariot and see if they work. If not, try to remove the hard drive and try to use a flash drive to download your profile and see if this slowness continues. It's likely that it's an issue with the hard drive that's
causing this issue and not the console.

The only thing you can do is check your storage for corrupted files *(manually check every gaming folder) & then clear your system update. And then reapply your update.

When checking for corrupted files*, be sure to remove anything incomplete.

i tried and they sent me here to the forums.... its been doing this for a while and i dont have my warranty anymore
