    What age for the new UK online safety act?


    I was checking my emails today and I noticed that I need to verify my xbox account age. Bear in mind I play on PC with an xbox account for Microsoft Flight Sim 24. I am 16 and live in Scotland. In Scotland for those who don’t know you can legally vote, so logically you’d assume it would be 16. At the way the UK is going at the moment, anything seems to be possible now, including an 18+ limit for the online aspects. If anyone knows if it’s a 16 or an 18 limit, that would be appreciated.

    What settings are you trying to change.

    Parental control can not be removed until the account is of legal age in the region it was created.

    Hi there,

    the account can be promoted whenever the age is the legal adult age (may differ per country) , but it is something you will have to execute when the legal adult age is reached.

    This is the how to promote an account to adult whenever the legal adult age is reached:

    There is no way to change the age on an account once it has been created. If the age of your account is under 18 there is nothing you can do. If the age of your account is 18 or over, you can promote your account to an adult account -
