Having trouble with Xbox series, X Wi-Fi, remote play, and Wi-Fi in general

When I had wireless Wi-Fi through charter, it said I could remote play outside my home. It just might be slow and recommends playing inside and then I switched to fiber optic through Gateway fiber so way better Wi-Fi and gigabytes per second and when I was connected through wireless Wi-Fi, it kind of recommend the same thing remote play can play outside your home, but it might be slow, but the Wi-Fi was definitely better but now I have a long ethernet cable and have my Xbox directly connected to the Wi-Fi router but now it says it’s actually slower it says Remote play outside the home might not be possible recommends only playing inside the house on the same Wi-Fi network, which doesn’t make sense because being connected directly like that should mean it’s insanely fast or at least the same but a more secured network. Is there anything I can do to try to fix this? I know my Wi-Fi router is kind of weird. It doesn’t have ethernet cable connections. It just says lan1 lan2 lan3 lan4 2.5g I’m connected to four because that’s the only one that says 2.5 G and I thought that might be better because also the port that the router is connected to that goes to the modem that port says 2.5 G so I thought maybe that would be stronger or should I be on? Lan1 any advice whatsoever would be helpful cause I don’t know much about Wi-Fi or even gaming that much. I’m new to the online community been playing on Xbox one X for a couple of years and I literally just got the Xbox series X2 days ago and was trying to download this new Hogwarts game that I just bought today and it said it was gonna take an hour which is awesome because when I was with charter something that was over 100 GB would usually take at least 12 to 13 hours so I’m over the moon and then I was like oh wait I haven’t ethernet cable if it’s only gonna take an hour or two which usually it says an hour and a half to two hours then after about 10 minutes usually says 30 to 40 minutes, but I thought if I connect an ethernet cable to it, it might cut that time in half or at the least just be more secure but if it’s saying remote play might not be possible outside the home then that means it’s going way slower or it’s not as strong so it makes you think I should unplug it for downloading shit too, which doesn’t make senseso please any info suggestions of any kind will be well appreciated
