    I have had this issue for a while, and I am not sure what to do anymore. My mic on the xbox app on pc has a 3 second delay, and I am not sure what to do, I have tried everything that I could think of, including changing the audio settings through the app, and regular microsoft settings, I have tried resetting the app, uninstalling the app, repairing the app, and nothing works. I have troubleshoot it and everything seems to be fine, and I have used it just fine on other apps such as discord and zoom. Those apps don't have the delay. It's only the xbox app, I have even tried doing the mic test in the settings, and it picks it up immediately.

    USB microphone compatibility

    Digging a bit, seems that usb mic are not supported directly by the console, but you can use an usb mic connected to your PC and use Xbox App.

    It's a bug with the Xbox app on pc. My mic does the same thing when using the Xbox app but works fine when using an app like discord.

    Thats what I'm doing.. the only thing I am doing different from playing keyboard/mouse is the controller itself. but when i plug it in every setting on the pc changes to controller mic. Even though the controller has no mic. So I go back through all the
    pc settings and xbox companion settings and change it back but the xbox game bar will not let me use the usb mic anymore. I have to unplug the controller and reset the pc to be able to use my mic again. when I start a party in the companion app it says my
    mic is working , but if i am in a party on that app for some reason I'm not in a party on the game bar... so if i start a party on the game bar the mic still doesn't work..
