    Hello,
    I have purchased 2 minecraft gifts from the official site, the payment goes thru Microsoft site. So my region is Bosnia and Herzegovina and when I was buying the games there was an option to set region which I did and set as Bosnia of course. When the code came to my friends who are in the neighbourhood they got message that the region is not the same. I contacted the minecraft support but they only have AI answers( or a person that hates his job) so they gave me nothing useful as to why this happens. Xbox support can not help with it as they said so I am asking here:
    How can I Redeem my 2 codes, that I bought on the official minecraft site that uses microsoft payment system, when the: "This code can't be redeemed. It was purchased in a different region from your account." pops up for no reason. Also the refun option is not avaliable so I have to make it work.
    Is there a way to find out what region is set for the codes?
    Is there a way to get a refund if the "refund" option isnt in the order history
    Any ideas?

    As far I know right now, he's simply trying to add three months of game pass ultimate to his account, which is already a game pass ultimate account. The code is for sure sure a Canadian one as well, which matches his region since we are both in Canada and in the same town to boot.

    The issue boils down to this:

    -Our accounts/xboxs both have their regions set to Canada. They are the same in terms of geographic settings.

    -The code was purchased physically at a store, not online. It is a Canadian code.

    -He cannot redeem the code due to a region error

    -I however, can redeem that same code without issue(Not actually redeeming it however)

    Why?
