    Why can't I join or create group posts on a new Xbox?


    Hello, so I just got this Xbox and I'm trying to join group posts but every time I try it says unable to request. I've restarted it, checked my settings and made sure they were good, I did check Xbox and Windows 10 online safety and made sure I can join and create clubs and even checked and restarted all of my WiFi settings. Still nothing. If you have any solutions I would love to hear.

    Hello! My name is Ben a fellow member here in the community, not a Microsoft employee. Hope you are doing well!

    Just to confirm, have you also tried checking the NAT Type on your Xbox console? You may follow the steps below to check this:

    1.Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

    2.Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.

    3.Under Current Network Status, the NAT Type field displays your current NAT type.

    You need your NAT type to be Open to resolve this issue. You also want to be sure there are no errors such as Double NAT detected or UPnP not successful displayed.

    You can also configure the following port via your WIFI settings. If you are unsure where to configure this, you may reach out to your Internet Service Provider so you can request to them to enable it. These are the ports for Xbox:

    Port 88 (UDP)

    Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 80 (TCP

    Port 500 (UDP)

    Port 3544 (UDP)

    Port UDP 4500 (UDP)
