    How can I get connected to someone who doesnt hang up the phone on xbox support because i just waited 30 minutes for a call back just to get hung up on in 3 minutes. I want to speak to a supervisor or someone who knows what they're doing.

    Supervisor from Microsoft sent me here

    If your involved with a Microsoft supervisor then he would have given you the codes if need be. The person you are speaking with is phone support who do not know how the forums work.

    The support agents who work on the forums start from the bottom of the list and work their way up. By bumping your thread you've just moved it to the bottom of their list.

    SOLVED!!

    The XBOX support center in Florida solved the problem for me.

    They cannot directly upgrade you to family gold so they will first upgrade you to Gold status with a 1-month subscription. From there, they can then purchase a redemption code for the family gold pack using your credit card that you know is in good standing.
    The redemption code will come to you from them via email. You then go in and purchase the family gold pack using the redemption code they sent you.

    The only other wrinkle was that I was not able to add my other family members on the XBOX. I needed to use the website
    live.xbox.com/.../FamilyCenter to do this.

    If you get the Florida XBOX support center they will know how to do this (Laura or Nichole the supervisor) I hope this helps everyone who is having this issue.

    I would personally call Support back and insist that you speak with a supervisor immediately to resolve this situation. They do have supervisors there "behind" the front line support folks that you can be passed to if the situation warrants an "escalation,"
    which in your specific case seems warranted. Good luck, I hope you continue to get the "good" support folks and get your issue resolved.

    little known trick would be to ask for a supervisor immediately, they have the best information and are the most knowledgable in all areas. If you do do this, make sure to leaev good regard for the initial support agent as a supervisor call isnt loked well
    upon unless you give creedence to the intial agent, so do them a favor and give them good regards.
