Why is Xbox banning my use of my own accessories that I purchased?

So after a long drawn-out ordeal of finally locating a remote controller that would work for my Xbox One I set it up and everything was going fine for about 5 minutes until the Xbox itself noticed that the controller that I bought was not sold or authorized by Microsoft or Xbox. It said I can use it for 2 weeks and then it will permanently ban that accessory from being used!

This is absolutely ridiculous why do they get to decide what products we use on the console that we have already purchased??! This feels like a huge rights issue I don't tell people that they can't use stuff that they buy. So it's a waste of time and money if you don't verify that The accessory that you buy is authorized and they say it's a security / performance issue. Third party accessories are just that they are accessories I don't think there's a way that they could get any information or screw up my Xbox with Me connecting the accessory that once again I purchased with my money!!

Yes but cheating devices aren't authorized

You need to address it with the seller that sold you the cheating device

I'd stay away from shaddy devices they can end badly for you including console.bans

Fyi even sony and Nintendo can ban consoles for cheating devices even unauthorized devices

Any device is authorize is made for xbox or licensed for xbox

Not shaddy cheating devices

that has always been the policy of Xbox that you must use Xbox authorized peripherals.

You agreed to only use Xbox authorized peripherals and shop at the Xbox authorize retailers and stores as part of the user agreement you signed when you purchased, registered and set up your account

If you wish to have freedom to use anything you want, you need to purchase a PC

no it will not, you need to purchase the official accessories

Using an un authorized accessorywith Xbox can void your warranty as well as results in account and hardware bans

I would remove the console ID from your post immediately, because if it's not banned, someone could use that ID on their own banned console.

In any case, accessories can be bought online, on the Xbox Store.

Yes, my other account was banned. But the problem is that after I got banned, I was still able to use the things that I had purchased on my banned account. So why not on this new console?
