Does Xbox save data stay with the console or tied to the profile?

Save data is tied to the profile,not the console.

All of your save data for your games is stored on the Xbox HDD but for certain games (CoD) in example the Rank is specifically tied to your Xbox Profile. The Achievements data is also stored to your profile itself not the Hard drive.

Unfortunately, cant use save data from another profile. That save file is tied to that account only.

Thanks for coming to the forums. If you intend to keep the HD, then the next owner will not have access to the games. All this data is tied to your profile. But as on the Xbox 360, if you did not have cloud save enabled you will need the HD for all save
data. You own the games no question, as digital purchases of games tied to profile and disc are disc games. The save data is stored on the 360 HD unless like stated you enabled cloud saves. On the Xbox one, S, and X all data is automatically saved to the cloud.

So in short if you remove the hard drive, then delete any of your information of the internal storage. The next owner will not be able to access anything of yours.

Hey all,

I wanted to try something here for anyone who has already deleted any worlds or data or have not reset their Xbox in the past to resolve this issue. For users with multiple profiles, has anyone tried completely removing their profile and then readding it to the Xbox?

And in addition, has anyone used the "Delete All" feature for Minecraft on their Xbox? This may result in the loss of worlds on the console across all platforms (clearing cloud save data).

Please do not attempt these steps if you want to keep your worlds.

I want to see if this is tied to a profile issue on Xbox that relates to Minecraft and how the cloud save/data is interacting that might cause lag spikes.
