    Trying to buy game pass. Told we need a parent to buy it but they can’t send parent a request and will need to find another way

    Click on the child account that needs to buy the item.

    Click on Settings > Ask to Buy and make sure to turn it off.

    How do I disconnect my son's account from parental controls?

    I was trying to purchase a minecraft for my son on his PC, and it said that a message was sent to parent approval and would let him know when it was approved. I have no idea where this approval is being sent. I don't see it in any of the emails that we have in our family.

    Hi Francia,

    I don't believe the cause is the "family" settings. I believe parental controls were placed on the account on my orinigal Xbox360. I recall several years ago, I was requested to put in a different email address to approve a purchase - that email address belonged to my parent.

    The "Family" I am in already has me having elevated priviledges - I can approve or decline my step kids getting games etc.

    My game refund was approved 14 days ago, but have not gotten any money. Is it suppose to take this long ? My bank doesn’t hold money so it’s not on their end.

    The same problem. Earlier it took a couple of minutes to get refund to my PayPal account. It’s disappointing. And yes, REQUEST APPROVED, but no refund and I still own a game:((( Such a big company can’t solve such little problem for weeks.
