I totally get what you're dealing with—wanting to stop the charges but getting stuck because you can't remove your payment method unless you add a new one. The trick here is that you don’t need to remove the card to stop the billing. You just need to turn off recurring billing first. Here’s how to do that:

Step 1: Cancel recurring billing

This will stop future charges, and your Game Pass will stay active until the current paid time runs out.

Go to: https://account.microsoft.com/services

Sign in with your Microsoft account

Find your Xbox Game Pass for PC subscription

Click Manage > Turn off recurring billing

Confirm cancellation

Once this is done, Microsoft won’t charge you again, and you’ll be able to remove your payment method later on.

Step 2: Remove the card after subscription ends

After your subscription fully expires:

Go to: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments

Find your payment method

Click Remove

it is telling me to renew my server so how am i getting charged when i literally have to renew the subscription? how can i stop being charged for this and get a refund

Unfortunately I do not have any open subscriptions or any family members that share or possess subscriptions with me. Also, the credit card that is charged monthly is not one of my saved credit cards. I removed all cards from my account, but it still gets charged. Amazingly, when there was still human beings working in support, I spoke with a customer service rep and she said everything was fine and the charges would stop. They did not. And the virtual assistant has been more of a hindrance than a helper.

I have exactly the same issue on the Xbox app on PC.

It says included in gamepass but then tries to charge me £14.99 to download it?

If it isn't included in gamepass then it shouldn't be advertised as such.

I even spoke to support last night and the guy had no clue other than telling me the game wasn't on the gamepass list he had.. how can that be? yet its still being advertised as such?
