    got an email about my account being inactive


    I got an email about my microsoft account being inactive for too long earlier this month saying that I needed to make a purchase before July 5th, however when I try to do that it says my account has already been locked due to inactivity so I can't make a purchase at all. If I can't make a purchase before July 5th, will I lose my minecraft account, too, or will I still be able to play?

    Once your account is locked and no access to it, there is no way to play any of the games that are linked to the email or account.

    So I just managed to contact Microsoft support for Xbox and they said my Xbox account (which I play Minecraft through) will be fine and won’t be affected, so now I really don’t know what to believe anymore

    Microsoft may delete your account if it remains inactive for two years. Did you get any emails about your account information being changed? If it wasn't inactive, it sounds like your account may have been hacked.

    Looking for a way to migrate my copy of Minecraft to a new Microsoft email.

    With that is there anyway for me to reactivate a deleted Microsoft account, especially since I wasn't the one to delete that account. It got deleted due to inactivity apparently and I never received an email about it.
