No longer owning Minecraft despite having both Xbox editions in my library for years.

Yes, I already own Minecraft on my previous account. I own both Java and Bedrock edition. I have tried logging into my previous account but it still required me to purchase Minecraft Java Edition for the second time

There are currently two versions of Minecraft on the Xbox One; the Xbox One Edition (which is no longer supported but remains playable if you own it) and the "Better Together" which is the version that has the cross platform feature. Late last year we had
a promotion in which if certain criteria was met, owners of the Xbox One Edition would receive a digital copy of the Better Together Minecraft. This is no longer valid, but we still have an article with the details of the offer at Minecraft

I don’t own any other editions (Java, Xbox one, Xbox 360) for Minecraft

From the sound of it, you have Minecraft Xbox One Edition. This edition of the game was discontinued a few years ago. It can still be played, but is no longer supported or updated. To get the bedrock version of the game, then you will have to purchase
Minecraft bedrock version from the Microsoft store on the Xbox. This version is just named Minecraft.

Please note that there are two seperate version in the xbox store. Minecraft xbox edition and minecraft. The version you will find on the start screen of minecraft. This will better assist us. The other thing is that both user must own their own copy of
the game and have xbox gold.

Edit: even with open nat type certain games use unique ports that can be block by your router.
