    Hello,

    I have Xbox Games Pass Ultimate edition and last week my son and I were able to play multiplayer together with no issues. However as of today, when I try to invite my child to a group it will ask him which version of Game Pass he would like to purchase.

    • We have two Xbox Series S consoles. (My console is the home console, his is the secondary)
    • His Xbox account is in our family group.
    • We previously were able to play multiplayer together.
    • I have attempted to log into my account on his console, then switched to his account and have verified he was able to play multiplayer under his account.
    • I have attempted to log into his account only and he is unable to play any multiplayer matches. This is a new issue as of this week.
    • If I am logged into my account, and switch to his while also being on my home Xbox we it is prompting me to end one session and play on my home Xbox which results in a loop, or one of the above issues.
    How can I ensure we can continue playing games together using Xbox Games Pass Ultimate?

    You need to set his console as your Home in order to share the subscription with him.

    I have switched his Xbox to the Home Xbox and have confirmed the same issue persists.

    Can't allow an exception for a game on a child account.

    Star wars battlefront cannot be played using a child account even if you have already change the privacy and online safety of your child account. This is a restriction put there by the game developer itself and Microsoft can't do anything about it.

    EA games may have more stringent restrictions preventing child accounts from playing online. Star Wars Battlefront 2 is ESRB rated Teen so if your child is not yet a teen then that may be why the account cannot play the game online.

    I'll note that once the age has been set on the Microsoft child account then it must age naturally until it reaches 18 (20 in Japan and South Korea) and you will unlikely be able to change the age to get around age restrictions.
