  1. Sharing my gaming clips with each games community

So about 3 years ago I would play quiet a few games on XB1 and when I'd record clips I have the option to share it amongst the entire community playing THAT specific game. For example, Cyberpunk 2077 has its own page. You can shift to "Social" tab where you can see all the videos shared by many players world wide.. I used to be able to also share my content.

One day while playing Cyberpunk 2077 I went to share my videos and the option was just GONE. I could post it on MY OWN personal page.

At first I thought maybe Microsoft is getting rid of the whole "Social " tab for each game, but then I checked each game and many players where still sharing their content. I felt singled out. Like I really enjoyed being part of the community, sharing photos and video of rare moments nobody knew about. I enjoyed the interaction, but just like that I was cut off. Years later I still try with other games but I'm still unable.

    Why is this happening?

    :)

Sharing my gaming clips with each games community

Hi there, and thank you for reaching out. My name is Aileen, and I am an Independent Advisor here to give you guidance.

I can really feel how much this meant to you — being able to share your best moments directly with each game's community was a core part of the Xbox experience, and it’s frustrating when that option suddenly disappears without warning, especially when others still seem able to post.

Here’s what’s likely going on and what you can do about it: The "Social" tab feature still exists, but access may be restricted. You’re right, the Social tab for individual games (like Cyberpunk 2077) is still active, and many players continue to post game captures there. However, not all accounts retain full sharing access, especially if certain privacy or enforcement flags were triggered in the past. This can happen quietly due to:

    Content being reported, even once

Brief communication suspensions (even if long resolved)

Account settings or age restrictions shifting

Sharing being disabled under Xbox privacy settings

You can still share to your own activity feed, but the option to post directly to a game’s community page may have been removed as a result.

Check your privacy and community content settings. To make sure your profile is set to allow sharing:

    Go to https://account.xbox.com/settings

Under Privacy & Online Safety, select your profile > Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One Online Safety

    Look for:

"You can share content made using Kinect or another camera" – set this to Allow

"Others can see your game clips and screenshots" – set to Everyone

"You can share game clips outside of Xbox Live" – also set to Allow

Even one of these set to Block or Friends-only can prevent your content from reaching the wider game community tab.

Also, check your enforcement history, even a minor suspension from years ago can quietly limit content features.

    Visit: https://enforcement.xbox.com

Sign in and review your Enforcement History

If anything shows up, even if expired, it may explain why that social-sharing access never returned.

You can also try sharing from the Xbox mobile app. Some users regain the ability to post to community tabs using the Xbox app on Android or iOS:

Open the app > tap your captured clip

Tap Share > Look for game-specific feed options

If available, this can bypass restrictions present on the console UI

If all your settings are clean and there’s no enforcement record, then your ability may have been limited due to an older flag or bug that was never lifted. Unfortunately, this isn't something that shows clearly or notifies the user — which is why it can feel like being silently cut off.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Looking forward to your response.

Can you send PC game clips to friends via Xbox chat?

Hi Udeshya, my name is Rodrigo. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

Once they're uploaded, they can be shared—on your profile's activity feed and in a message.

Press Win + G to open Game Bar, then select Widget Menu > Gallery.

To share a game clip or screenshot, select Open file location, then use your app of choice to share your capture.

Game DVR vs. Upload Studio vs. My Game Clips

Every clip you create using game dvr or clips that are automatically recorded, your friends can see, but if you want to share your clip with the Xbox community you have to upload them, with the upload studio.

    Hello MarozzoDestrutturato,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

Based on the description you posted, it seems that you have an issue with Xbox wherein you want to know how to post your game clips/screenshots to the Xbox live feed.

Let’s work together in finding the best solution to this issue.

In the meantime, we would like you to try the steps provided from this link: Share game clips and screenshots | Xbox Support

You can share screenshots to Twitter or create a link for clips which you can post on social media.

    1. Press Win + G to open Xbox Game Bar, then select Widget Menu > Gallery.
    2. To share a game clip or screenshot, select Open file location, then use your app of choice to share your capture.
Note Game Bar only shows captures that are saved locally on the Windows device you’re using. Captures uploaded to the Xbox network are viewable and shareable only in the Xbox mobile app.

    Hope this helps,
