XBox Console UI Is Getting Worse!

When I got my XBox One X in 2021... I know; I was very late to the party... I found the experience perfectly usable and enjoyable with plenty of options for customising and tailoring my consoles UI for my personal use.

When the last major update was released all of those customisable options were completely removed and replaced by forced and non-configurable adverts... on a device I, and all of my fellow XBox gamers paid money for.

As this is a passionate complaint, and my emotions are very high right now; I will address something I am sure some **** will state in that disabling my consoles online features will remove any and all adds.
And I agree, that drastic and very inconvenient action does indeed remove every single advert that Microsoft is ramming down all of their paying customers throats from the consoles UI.
The problem is that I do not think that it a valid resolution, and an insulting suggestion to someone who paid money for a product.
Your fridge doesn't have 90% of it's capacity filled with empty boxes for products that could be purchased and put in their places every time you open the door, so why does everyone think that it's acceptable for a videogame console to do that?

That isn't my complaint today though, just a lead-in to what has irritated me this afternoon...

I, like everyone else who have simply accepted that Microsoft care more about selling the latest Call of Duty re-release than actually making a user-friendly and convenient interface for the XBox family of consoles.
We have all just come to terms that the single line of icons on the main screen at the very top are under our limited control, with the rest of the dashboard nothing more than a billboard for whatever partnership commission deals Microsoft are trying to push on their entire audience that week.

My new frustration would actually be a very minor one, if it wasn't for the fact it is in absolutely no way convenient or useful... especially as this new feature is actually an optional action you could already perform before.
It is the way that selecting a game I already own from the top row of icons on my consoles dashboard now opens the consoles 'more info' page... which as I just said; was accessible before but via an optional menu selection.

My complaint is very minor, I admit.
But, considering this adds a very unnecessary extra step... which again; was an option before... to booting up a game that I already own.
I own these games, I have them in my library... I don't need a product page to open to give me information on the title before I select to start it up.
If I purchased the game, chances are I have already read or seen enough details about it that I chose to spend money on it.
I, nor anyone else needs a reminder of the content included in a product we already purchased.
And if we did... again... the menu screen that now opens was already accessible by a very simple menu selection.

What the heck is going on with console UI's lately?
What happened to simplicity and convenience?
Isn't that the two main attractions to gamers to consoles over PC?

What's even more insulting is that unlike a PC, where if you disliked the presentation of the latest update of it's operating system you can usually revert to an older build or even an alternative altogether; consoles cannot be restored back to a more use friendly stage... forcing us to endure this kind of completely ignorant customer care oblivious to what we actually enjoy.
We complain for a while then just accept that the powers in charge won't actually listen to our pleas.

The whole reason there is UI level adverts on consoles is because people simply accepted them in the first place.
Personally I think that they are wrong and we should have the ability to disable them if desired... without having to also disable other online features by disconnecting from the internet.

This was just a rant, because the industry in general is even more greed based now than it has ever been and the average consumer is just accepting that as the norm, forcing those of us who remember a far more customer focussed market to get increasingly more angry and offended by how we are treated now.

We pay Microsoft's bills by giving them our money... and they repay us by ruining out experiences with these ridiculously unintelligent updates and changes to things that do not need to be messed with at all.

If it ain't broke... give it to Microsoft... or any other major videogame company; they'll fix it until it is.

Edit:

I just read somewhere that pressing the "X" button direct-boots the games as the console used to with the more intuitive "A" button press.
However, there is absolutely no on-screen indication that is the case.
And even if it were is still a very un-intuitive button, as the "X" button was used to eject discs before this.

This is a ridiculously unnecessary change to the UI's functionality and interface, and having no indication the change had been made in the background without my knowledge is even more insulting.
Who at Microsoft decided that the last 24 years of using "A" as the primary 'activate' button on XBox consoles needed to be messed with... even longer if you consider pre-XBox consoles like Nintendo or SEGA machines before that.
"A" although not officially 'standardised' has always been the primary 'activate' button for as long as letters have been used on controllers.
