If your gamertag changed from Spoonbill25 to SixtyCanvass9955 and you’ve lost access to your stats, the first thing I recommend is to double check the Microsoft account you’re signed in with. Sometimes a new or different account can make it seem like everything’s been reset.

First, confirm you’re signed in to the correct account

Go to https://account.microsoft.com and sign in

Then visit https://account.xbox.com/profile

Check if Spoonbill25 is still linked to that account — or if a different gamertag appears.

I have 2 xbox live accounts. I think you have to go to account settings select update, goto email address and change it there. Now what i did was create my new email from a computer then went to xbox live, i logged in old email went to account settings changed
to new emai then logged into my xbox,

Hey there Kitt! I just tested this out on my console. After changing the Gamertag from the PC (my free one for the new account) it did not update the one on the console's sign in list. Once I selected the account it told me I needed to Download it again
(MSA and Password required) and then it updated the name. I think it's safe for you to change it. Let us know if you have any additional questions, thanks!
