  1. My headset is connected and my freinds can hear me but I cannot hear them through the headset

All of a sudden my mic no longer picks up the people in my party chat however they can still hear me , I also get the sounds from starting up my Xbox and connecting in the mic .

I tried fixing this using the audio within party chat but the audio dial that allows you to increase volume was greyed out and inacessable and the audio slider on my actual mic does not work what can I do?

    :)

My headset is connected and my freinds can hear me but I cannot hear them through the headset

Hello, my name is Tadeu, I am an Independent Consultant and a member of the Microsoft Xbox community, just like you.

I apologize for the issue you are experiencing.

    I am here to help.

I hope everything is going well and thank you for contacting me.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Please check out this guide, I hope it helps!

If you can hear other people in a party or game, but they can’t hear you, try these solutions.

Solution 1: Make sure your headset isn’t muted

Make sure the orange LED next to the mute button isn’t lit.

Solution 2: Turn your Xbox Series S console off and on again

For help, see How to restart or power cycle your Xbox Series S console .

Solution 3: Reassociate your controller with your profile

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

    Select System > Settings > Kinect & devices > Devices & accessories .

Under Assigned to , choose your gamertag.

Solution 4: Check your network’s NAT type

Network Address Translation (NAT) lets you hide your IP address from devices that aren’t on your network. For more information about NAT, see the "Current Network Status" section in Network Settings on Xbox Series S.

Solution 5: Test your Xbox Series S chat headset

To test your headset, start a party (requires internet connectivity) to test the audio:

1 Sign in to Xbox Live on your Xbox One console.

2 Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

3 Under Multiplayer , select Start a Party . (You don't need to invite anyone to this test.)

4 Make sure your microphone is not muted in party chat.

Note: You can use the Y button on your controller to mute or unmute your microphone.

Make sure your headset is not muted and that the volume is turned up.

Speak into your microphone. If your headset is working, you will see the ring around your gamerpic light up.

Please note that this is a public forum only. I will respond as soon as possible, and I apologize in advance for any delay in responding. I am just a user trying to provide information and knowledge that may be useful to others. I am not a Microsoft employee.

    Best regards, Tadeu

Mic not working in the xbox app and in party chat while streaming

I appreciate the help. Yeah every time I use the party beta and close out I leave feedback of what has happened. I have the headset that came with the xbox one and it works. I can hear my friends and they can hear me in the party chat on the console. On
the pc when I have the headset on I can hear them and the game sound through the xbox headset but they can't hear me.

Microphones on both of my headsets not working since this week's update

I can't hear anybody through my TB XO One headset, but they can hear me. Game chat is fine, but in party chat it doesn't work. It shows me speaking when I speak, and my friends tell me they can hear me, and if I unplug the headset, I can hear people speaking
    through the TV speakers.

The fact that game chat still works proves that it's Microsoft's software, not my headset, adapter, Xbox or controller.
