Why can't me and my family play split screen Minecraft on xbox now?

Do you see any error messages when you try to play together?

Are you playing Java or Bedrock?

First, make sure you have all the updates installed for both Minecraft and the consoles. Also, check your privacy settings of your account to make sure you allow multiplayer. If you are part of a family group, make sure a group organizer is allowing the accounts to play multiplayer.

I found out you need HD to process split screen on a game that has the worst graphics out of all the xbox games. Why do you need an HD TV to process a game that is made up of 24 bits? My toaster can process Minecraft. Will i need an HD toaster to play split
screen? But in all seriousness can somebody explain to me why you need HD to play split screen. I can play Halo Reach split screen and that game is much harder to process i would imagine.

Split screen is a dying thing. Most people play online multiplayer these days and don't bother with split screen. Now I like split screen, as it's always a fun time playing with friends and family. But, the way gaming is going, they're going to focus on
online rather than local.

But, expect to see some games with split screen added on. It all relies on the developers working it in.

I can't get my split screen to work on my console and I have the disc of minecraft if that has a different I have all the things that u need to do split screen but it will not work what can I do?
