    i had been charged for gamepass core and then i purchased the standard version and decided to change my mind and refund and got the refund but i lost access to core and was not refunded for it

    When you added Standard, it would have cancelled and upgraded your Core to Standard as well. It doesn't revert back to Core if you cancel it just cancels everything.

    Just had the same problem with a new gaming PC and refreshed with all the updates from MSFT. I tried to download the standard version shown above included with gamepass and it wanted to charge me.

    Did you previously install the gamepass version? I have purchased titles that I downloaded on gamepass, where I had to reinstall the non-gamepass version to make it work.
