If you play Minecraft Java Edition, you would need to talk to Mojang to see if they have a possible way of doing this. If you play Minecraft Bedrock/Minecraft for Windows, there is no way to do this since the username is actually your Xbox gamertag - which cannot be deleted. I'm really sorry about this.

I have been playing Minecraft since 2013, and have experience with Minecraft: Java Edition for PC, Minecraft: Pocket Edition, Minecraft: Xbox One Edition (which I think you are referring to as 'legacy'?) and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition for Xbox One, Windows 10 and mobile devices.

'Diamond apples' have never existed in any 'vanilla' version of the game.

That being said, they could be included in some modded versions of the game, or perhaps in an add-on pack. However, many mods are only applicable to Minecraft: Java Edition, and the original question never mentioned a modded version of Bedrock, leaving me to believe it was merely a misconception.

Moreover, Bedrock Edition is a completely separate game to Xbox One Edition (which was its predecessor). There were no possible mods for Xbox One Edition, and 'diamond apples' did not exist in that version, meaning that there was no way in which to add them.

Yes actually, there is a quick way to tell what version you have installed.

The bedrock edition of Minecraft is only called "Minecraft"

Whereas the other version is "Minecraft xbox one edition"

I believe it is the bedrock edition you require to play with friends on different devices.

Minecraft has a Bedrock Edition. On Game Pass, Minecraft game is not included. You need to buy it. Since Bedrock is cross-platform, I was hoping that my kids can download it on their computers as well. So if the edition that Game Pass sells is not the Bedrock Edition, then it makes sense that I am only allowed to play within XBOX. Can you please confirm that if I buy it on Game Pass I won't be able to download and play on both computer and XBOX console?
