Trouble shoot my Xbox one controller

    Trouble shoot my Xbox one controller


    I have two controllers and both of them on separate ids which work fine on the home page but don’t read as a second controller in any game. I’ve tried restarting everything, updated all firmware, cabled it, put fresh batteries in, all the buttons work fine because they work on the Home Screen but in game there’s no results

    Hi, Siddhant! It's my pleasure to assist you with this today.

    Kindly try to do these steps and check if it will fix the issue.

    Press and hold the Power button on the front of your Xbox until the console turns off.

    Unplug everything from the back of your Xbox.

    Wait 3 minutes, and then plug the power cord and HDMI back in.

    Connect the controller once the console is up and running

    Then, please check if that fixes the issue.

    If that still doesn't work, let's try to reset the console and keep the games and apps.

    IMPORTANT: Make sure to remember the email and password for the account before taking these steps.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info > Reset console.

    Select "Reset and keep my games & apps

    i had the same trouble, finally figure it out....mine was the code for the remote control, I found codes for my box, and I tried different ones till I found the one that worked. Its under settings, guide one, trouble shoot, add codes
