  1. Microsoft Family Support pop up in xbox app

So a few years ago the administrator on my pc removed all parental restrictions. And my account is is set to being an adult. For some reason I can't open the Xbox app without a pop up from the Microsoft family controls asking to send an email that cannot be sent because every time I click send email it says an error has happened. I have gone into task manager and manually disabled parental controls on my pc and that popped up another error when I started up the app. does anyone know how to fix this? (this only happends with the xbox app by the way) I have tried rebooting many times. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the xbox app.

This appears on the pop up asking for permission from my parrents: Trace ID: VGMV2IgpAUudkRfm.2 (PFN:Microsoft.GamingApp_8wekyb3d8bbwe)

This appears on the error screen: Trace ID: VGMV2IgpAUudkRfm.3.1

This appears in the xbox app installer error screen: 0x8007015A

    :)

Hi there! This is Virginia O.
I understand that you are experiencing issues with parental control.
I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Based on the error you are getting, it means that the system has verified that you own a child account. Wherein a child birthdate was saved on the account when it was created.

Good thing here is that, all you have to do is to add the organizer account once again on your account. And the organizer will be the account that can customize your Privacy and Security settings in order you to be able to act like an adult such accessing multiplayer can be allowed.

To add an organizer, please sign in the parent/organizer account here: https://account.microsoft.com/family/ >; Add a member> Please add your account.

Once added, sign into your email and accept the invitation.

After that sign in the organizer account here: https://www.xbox.com/user/settings/privacy-and-... then click on your account.

Choose the option: "In Privacy & Online Safety, click Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety."
From there, allow the organizer to customize your privacy and security settings.
Click Submit to save your changes.
Please test it out if you can access the Xbox App and check if it works.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

Windows 10 game bar uploading clips?

Yes the xbox companion app does recognize the games but Microsoft discontinued the ability to post clips from the xbox PC companion app and instead will give you a pop up saying that this app no longer supports this feature

Family Safety NOTIFICATION Settings... why can I not find a way to change them online?

The problem is not on Xbox. The problem is associated with the Microsoft Family Safety App as well as the online Family Safety website.

There was no option under the list of “products” close to the Family Safety App except under Xbox when I submitted this request for help. Nor is there a “chat” or “phone” support option for the App…

I appreciate the above info but it is all unrelated to the Family Safety App which affects use across more than just Xbox, such as laptop, online access etc. for kids in the family.

Any help on the App and notification settings within the App is what I am looking for support on.

Screen time limits on Xbox not working

    Hello Sew_mama,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.

I can see that you're experiencing issues with screen time limits on Xbox. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the issue.

First, make sure that your Xbox console is up to date with the latest software updates. You can do this by going to Settings > System > Updates & downloads > Console update.

Next, check that the screen time limits are still set up correctly. You can do this by going to account.microsoft.com/family and signing in with your Microsoft account. From there, select your child's account and check the screen time limits.

If the screen time limits are still set up correctly, try resetting your Xbox console. To do this, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off. Then, turn it back on and check if the screen time limits are working.'

If none of these steps work, you can contact Xbox support for further assistance. They will be able to provide more in-depth troubleshooting and help you resolve the issue.

We're looking forward to hearing from you. If there are any inquiries about our description or if there are any misconceptions, do reply to the post.
