    Minor child's account stolen


    At a very specific time I recieved an email that my minor child had been removed from our family safety group. He was online playing Minecraft and on Discord. He was logged out, tried to log back in and was shown to log in with his Microsoft account instead of it auto-logging him in. He had a message that his account did not exist. I tried to assist him recovering his account. In one place the auto-helper says there is not problem with the account. When trying to recover it says there is no account associated with his email or his phone number. Round and round and round we go. I have the exact minute and the email his account was associated with. How is it possible that a person can steal his account, change all of his contact and recovery info all without any notification to him or his parents except for this notice about him leaving the family safety group.

    Also child account being managed by a parent account no mater what your age is, the child account will always be considered a minor's account and not be considered an adult account.

    Every conscious parent should know that allowing a child to use a an adult account brings such issues. In the future assign a minor's account to your child in order to avoid such issues.
