Cod 6 warzone and multiplayers unable to play

Thanks for sharing your question with Microsoft community forum, your frustration is completely understandable, especially that other games are working fine, and many players online have reported having similar issues with the game since the latest update in June 2024.

It might be happening for a number of reasons, as it might be an issue with the update or something happening on the console, hopefully one of the following troubleshooting steps below would help, here are my suggestions:

• First, check for new Game Updates, as Activision has released a June update aimed at improving stability.
  
• Second, a power-cycle is something that might help solve this right away if this issue is happening because of some corrupt files on the console, here are the steps:
  
  • (Make sure you know your Microsoft account passwords before doing this), sign out of you accounts on the Xbox by going to the "Settings", then "Account", then "Remove accounts", and remove all the accounts on the console.
    
  • Turn off the console: Press and hold the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts off.
    
  • Unplug the power cable: Once the console is off, unplug the power cable from the back of the Xbox and wait for at least 30 seconds.
    
  • Plug the power cable back in: After waiting, plug the power cable back into the console.
    
  • Turn the console back on: Press the Xbox button on the console or the controller to turn it back on.
    
  • once the console is on again, sign back in with your email and password and try the game again.
    
• If you have this option Disable On-Demand Texture Streaming:
  
  This setting can cause performance issues:
  
  • Go to Settings > Graphics in-game.
    
  • Turn off On-Demand Texture Streaming.
    
• Use a Wired Connection, I know you said you already tried this, but you need to make sure that:
  
  • NAT type is Open (check under Settings > Network).
    
  • No background downloads or streaming are active.

warzone is free to play, cod general multiplayer requires gold.

I want to play the new mw3 2023 multiplayer. Can i open with warzone because warzone 2 is outdated and if i go to warzone section it opens mw2 only way to play. Cod mw3 is clicking on multiplayer. Which is free so why is it telling me to buy game pass

Hi i resolved this by watching a youtube video. It asked me to create a new account and turn off crossplay on multiplayer and warzone. Switch accounts to the non working account and turn off cross play for the non working account and delete any regiments
that you have joined.

1- create a new account you need a new email take 3 minutes to set uo

2 - login and start COD MW and cancel the connect to xbox live by pressing the B button

3- turn off crossplay on multiplayer first and then go online with multiplayer

4- turn off cross play on warzone

5- switch accounts in the xbox menu while in multiplayer

6- if multiplayer works then you can turn on crossplay on warzone

7- delete any regiments immediately or sign up for your own and it will work 100% of the time
