My controller keeps flickering the mod on and off and how to fix this problem

If your modded controller’s light is flickering and the mod keeps turning on and off every few seconds, it may be due to a software glitch, a loose internal mod chip, or a power issue. Here are some things you can try:

1. Hard reset the controller

This can refresh the mod system safely:

Hold down the mod switch (varies by controller brand)

While holding it, press and hold the Xbox button for about 10 seconds until the controller shuts off

Wait a few seconds, then turn it back on normally

2. Power issues

Make sure your controller isn’t running low on battery or suffering from a loose battery pack. Try these:

Replace the AA batteries

Or, if it’s a built-in battery, use a different charging cable or USB port

Weak or unstable power can interrupt the mod chip's function.

3. Re-pair the controller

If it’s wireless, remove the controller from your Bluetooth or Xbox devices list and resync it. Sometimes, a poor connection can affect mod performance.

4. Check for hardware damage

If it’s a third-party modded controller and was opened or customized manually, there’s a chance the chip or wiring inside came loose. Unless you’re sure it’s out of warranty and you're comfortable opening it up, I wouldn’t recommend taking it apart right away.

5. Reach out to the mod manufacturer

not sure if the flickering is the same. But i have a sony 4k with HDR and when ever i am playing games i will get flickering., The screen does no flicker as in a HDMI problem as in turning on and off. It's more like the color flickering from dark to light
really fast. But If I turn off 4k on the Xbox it will correct the problem.

There was an official Problem with HDR Flickering on that TVs and Xbox but that should be fixed a time ago

The screen flickers when HDR or HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour is on in the TV, after a while of flickering it goes black, then the TV loses the signal from the Xbox. That's
my problem.

If I deactivate HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour, then there's no more flickering and no more black screen.

Well it isn't fixed yet, I'm 100% sure I am on the latest firmware on both the LG C9 and the Xbox One X.

Welcome to the worst nightmare off elite controller 2, i'm waiting for my 3rd one. I advice you to contact a lawer or understand your rights. Microsoft will keep fixing the problem with a refurbished one. And you will keep the same problem.
