Classic Gamertag customization limited to 12 characters instead of 15

There are reports from other gamer, it appears that the classic gamertag customization interface is not allowing the full 15 characters as promised wherein it is limiting you to 12 or even fewer characters instead.

If you’re using a console or a specific browser, please switch to another device such as the desktop version of the Xbox website so that you can check if the issue persists.

Since it's over 12 characters, you've changed your classic gamertag, but not you regular gamertag. You'd have to change that one, but it is limited to 12 characters.

Should be noted that classic nametag does not mean the 15 character gamertags

It refers to the ansi characters system

So if you want to use the new system you have to accept.the 12 character limit

The part where the classic system comes in is NOT WHAT you are thinking

Because not all games can support symbols or foreign characters you have the option to.keep.a 12. character nametag for games that don't support the additional characters

So your gamertags has appleby#123

You would.have appleby123 only for old games since # isnt supported that part you can customize

If you change your gamertag on a Xbox 360 you can still have the 15 character limit but other than that you are limited to 12 characters.
