All your old purchased items should transfer so long as they were bought before the Better Together update. If they were purchased after then you'd have to purchase them again for the XB1 version. All those items are tied to your acct.

That is outrageous! I just bought Minecraft for 30 dollars for my Xbox and I can't even access the full game even though the card says full game?! I should be allowed to play multiplayer after buying the full game. This is horrid

It might be, that the preorder your friend bought is a special marketplace item, that was used to buy the game in order to allow him to play earlier or have other pre-order benefits.

After the official launch, the preorder license changed to the "actual" game, and it might be, that you have the "preorder" data installed, for which you don't have a license (as preorder items can't be shared via Home Console).

You might have to delete the game, and try re-downloading the "actual" game again, which is shareable via the license your friend owns.

Still says I don't own it. I've done everything that was requested from you, so there is nothing I can really do. I've even read through all the articles on the Minecraft.net website nothing is helping and I have done so much research on the matter. not very happy that I have to re-buy it with the money I don't have thank you for help anyways. Also it is telling me that I have to re-buy the windows 10 version that i already bought as well!! I would be lying if I said I wasn't frustrated. it just seems weird that the game jus disappeared out of nowhere.
