    Why can't I join a server on the same WiFi?


    in the past i was able to join my friends on Minecraft from my phone while they were on the Xbox without using realms because we were connected to the same WiFi. After the Minecraft game app updated, i have not been able to join at all, let alone find out where to join.

    you would have to ask Minecraft support we have no information about this change in policy

    I would imagine it's tied into the same reason why remote plate has to go through Xbox servers, too many people breaking the rules

    Same thing for me : Minecraft works with wifi on iPhone, not via home wifi. I can't find why!

    I use like Macca's Wifi, get CONSTANTLY disconnected every time I join a party or someone joins mine, and yet I have excellent connection to every server except US servers.
