Trouble accessing multiplayer even though we have a GamePass.

Please try the following steps with any of the accounts that present the problem

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

Remove your account from the console (You need to have your email address handy so that you can log in later).

2. Press and hold the Power button on the front of your Xbox until the console turns off.

3. Unplug the power cord from the back of your Xbox.

4. Wait a minute, and then plug the power cord back in.

5. Press the Power button on your Xbox to turn it back on.

6. Log in to your account again.

Gamepass for console doesn't include multiplayer

Gamepass core and ultimate do

If you plan on playing online you need gamepass and core if you want access to gamepass games and multiplayer

Though with the two plans it's more cost efficient ro do ultimate

Now if the core and multiplayer access is al you need then the 11.99 core plan will do with the limited 25 titles

I think you are confusing gamepass for pc for gamepass for console

Gamepass for pc doesn't have core requirements since core isn't needed for pc since you have multiple free services

But on console you onlyhave one therefore MUST HAVE core to play multiplayer and ultimate if gamepass games and cloud is needed

Ya if ulyou just have gamepass you penultimate for gold multiplayer access

Gamepass is just access to the games

Not cloud or multiplayer except for pc

Sorry to hear you are having issues with this. In some games, some devs put in a restriction if the account age is below the age rating of the game for the region then it won't allow to go on multiplayer and no setting in Xbox Family will override it.

Is the age of the childs account over the age rating of the game?

It's possible that its still being restricted. I have just found this:
