    How does game sharing even work nowadays?


    Hi, im having problems with playing online multiplayer (especially on Minecraft), i obviously needed to pay some subscription to play with my friends.

    But i thought that one of my friends, which have game pass ultimate, could 'game-share' with me so i can play online multiplayer on Minecraft. I done the steps fine because it allows me to go online on these paid games.

    Until, that friend - that has shared his gamepass with me - comes online and tries to play the same game as me (so we can go into a world together)

    I suddenly get told that im not allowed to do online multiplayer and i need to pick a 'plan'.

    To summarise, i can only play online multiplayer when that friend is offline, otherwise it kicks me out the game or tells me i must 'pick a plan'.EVEN THOUGH IM GETTING GAMEPASS SHARED

    I know i done all the steps right because i can play online multiplayer easily, but only when that friend is offline. I also asked customer service and they didn't even help, they told me to just leave it for 3 hours and let the gamesharing take its full effect (its been 24hrs)So i would really appreciate the help when needed..

    How it's intended to work is you buy a subscription and set your own console as your Home console so anyone who uses your console and people in your home can access the things you bought as well. Sharing outside of the home violates the rules and can put you and your friend at risk for being banned.

    Yes, it does happen with frequency. They will probably launch some update in the near future, nowadays ir normal to see the developers launching the game even broken.

    I don‘t have an answer to your question, but if I were you I would not share my password and my account with strangers.
