Why can I not disable Gaming Services??

Before you say "its to enhance your experience" let me just say that it would be very experience enhancing for you to remain silent and not say that.

I would like to disable this """""service""""" as it just takes up performance, I dont want it, and I should be allowed to choose what I want to have on my computer.

I tried to disable it through System Configuration, and it just wont work, it just gets re-enabled. It is honestly baffling to think a human being thought this would be a good idea. I would expect it from a marsupial, but from a person??? Wow!! And it happens with SO many other un-needed services! What do I even need microsoft office for??! So you can charge me 4 quadrillion dollars per month?!

See? Thats a problem, just because its "not that bad" doesnt make it less bad. I dont want to have it. I should be able to choose. You say that this particular service doesnt have that big of an impact, but what happens when there's a dozen more like this one? I want to choose and I want it gone.

it's a part of windows and has no meaningful impact on system performance.

Many people show up here after deleting things that they think that they don't need and when they find out that they do which often includes Xbox components of Windows

If you have the latest version of Windows 10 (1909), then you can right click the Xbox console companion and select uninstall.

As for the other Xbox apps such as game bar & Xbox services, they can not be removed, but you can disable game bar, by going to settings - gaming, then find the option to disable game bar.

If you disable Windows services on clear boot you might not even be able to boot the system, I don't recommend messing with that.

Disable your antivirus, game mode, and Windows Error Reporting service

In Windows Search, type services.msc and open Services.

Scroll down until you reach Windows Error Reporting Service.

Right-click and open Properties.

Choose Disabled in the Startup type drop-down menu.
