    My child’s account is in a family group assigned under an adult account that we can no longer access. Can the defunct account be separated from my child’s account so I can put it under the proper family group?

    I understand that you want to remove the child account from the family group.

    I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

    To set your expectations properly, in order for the child account to be removed from the family group the organizer or parent account needs to be recovered first because only the organizer/parent can removal a member from the family group.

    To recover your account please visit this page to be guided with the process:

    In here you will be given the steps and instructions as well on how to regain access to your account.

    Unfortunately only organizers of a family group can remove family members. Only the adult who granted consent can remove a child account from the family group. If the adult cannot access their account, the adult or appropriate guardian should attempt to recover the adult account. If you're locked in a family group, then your account may be lost forever.
