How do you create a new profile on Xbox one

It could be a problem with the console cache. Try clearing the cache with these steps:

1. Press and hold the power button on the front of your Xbox for about 10 seconds until the console fully powers down.

2. Once it’s off, unplug the power cable from the back of the console.

3. Wait at least 1 minute.

4. Plug the power cable back in and turn the console back on.

If the problem continues after clearing the cache, you can try a soft reset:

1. Go to Settings > System > Console info.

2. Select Reset console.

3. Choose Reset and keep my games & apps.

This will reset your system settings but keep your installed games and apps intact.

Hi thank you for the advice but unfortunately there is no problem with the Xbox service and I can login to Xbox on my phone but it won't let me put my new profile on my Xbox one

Microsoft only allows for the use of one gamertag per Microsoft account, so to make a brand new gamertag separate from the others you would need to create a brand new Microsoft account/email address.

Once you do this you can then create and add a new gamertag with that new MS account to your Xbox with the steps in this below link.

Hi, you can do either, you current profile will work just fine on the One or you can create a whole new profile. Of course if you create a new profile you would start over with your gamerscore etc.
