Why was I banned for a year?

I have been using my Xbox for a while now, and I have constantly stood by the code of conduct. However, last night my friend reported a random message of mine as a joke, and now I am banned for one year. I am confused on what I could have said to be banned for one year off of only one report, and I have never messaged anyone anything that egregious. I submitted an appeal for my ban, and it was denied. I am now banned for a year for a reason I don’t know. I also recently purchased a new Xbox controller and multiplayer game on Xbox, so now my money has been put to waste. I’m pretty sure there is nothing to do now, but I am wondering what I said to be banned for a year, because I’ve been looking through old messages and I have never said anything deserving of a ban, let alone a one year ban.

Any information would be on the enforcement site. The enforcement team do not use the forums so on one here would have any information about your suspension.

To answer your question why it's took 3 years to enquire a ban is that I was told by the Xbox support team to say exactly what I posted after telling them of the reason why I was banned and it's been three years. I was told that a ban may be able to be lifted
if possible. Reason I was banned was for changing my avatars hair color to blue.

I'm assuming that is a permanent ban, which is why the year is 9999.

i dont understand why didnt i get banned if this was the case. I dont think this is tampering and ive been using this hardrive for 3 years now. Will they ban me?

If it is so well know then why did it take three years for them to ban me, also I received two communication bans and they never saw fit to ban my gamertag then. Literally everyone knows me as midget or midg, if youre going to ban me with that then hit me
soon after I make it. Not three years after the fact.
