    Do I need to repurchase Minecraft after I switched from PC to Mac?


    I bought Minecraft for Windows years ago. Well I gave away that windows laptop and now have an Apple laptop, do I need to buy again? It was 27 dollars. :/ Everything I read says no but I am confused on how to play minecraft on here wo buying again.

    Since you already purchased the Windows edition, you can get the Java edition for free. Just sign in here and claim it.

    Once you have obtained Minecraft Java Edition, you can play it on your new Mac without paying again, as this version is compatible with both Windows and macOS.

    - Go to the official Minecraft website: https://www.minecraft.net

    - Click "Sign In" (top right) and sign in with the Microsoft account you used to purchase Minecraft.

    - Once inside, click "Download" and choose the macOS version.

    If it's Windows PC, you can just redownload your game so long as you purchased it on your Microsoft account and use the same Microsoft account on your other PC. For Mac, it's a different platform so you may need to repurchase the game there.
