Doom Eternal keeps closing after the first mission in the campaign. How can I resolve this?

Thanks for the help. I tried each every one of your troubleshoot options and the issue hasn't resolved, unfortunately. I guess I'll have to uninstall the game and reinstall it.

Please adjust graphics settings by lowering the texture pool size setting it to medium or even lower can prevent the crash. If lowering the texture pool size is not enough, decrease other graphical parameters such as resolution, anti-aliasing, shadows to see if a less demanding setup provides stability.

And then disable compute shaders and enable adaptive VSync. Based on the report, players noted that turning off compute-based rendering options and switching to adaptive VSync helped stabilize the game.

Next is to disconnect from the internet right after launching the game has been a workaround because the game is attempting to connect to a server for progress reporting or achievements.

Then run as administrator. To do this, right-click on the Doom Eternal shortcut and select “Run as administrator” to see if elevated privileges resolve the crash.

After that is to update everything. Make sure that your GPU drivers, Windows updates, and the game itself are fully updated because an outdated driver or missing game patch can cause issues.

If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, kindly uninstall and then reinstall the game because a fresh installation can fix underlying issues. And this will delete the corrupted files from the game too.

I just tried that,

So what I had to do was install both files, Battle something or the rather which would be the online mode.. (which Im not into) and then it has to install a 10+GB update and THEN I had to create a Bethesda account (which im not sure why as I don't like multiplayer)
and then it allowed me to select campaign..

What a head ache.
