    Streets of Rage 4 - Window rapidly opening and closing.


    I recently bought SOR4 for the cross platform play with a friend.
    I'm encountering an issue where i open the game, and a second window appears quickly, then closes, then opens again, and closes, repeating. very rapidly, after waiting for a while it would still cycle this opening and closing. I believe it's the login window wanting me to type in my details, but i cant be sure, as the window doesn't get time to display anything. the game window also does not progress and stays blank, i assume in waiting for me to use the window blinking.

    I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice now to no avail, aswell as changing the folder location, but to no avail.
    Ideas?

    I understand that you are experiencing issues playing Streets of Rage 4.

    I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

    Please run the game as administrator. To do this, right click the game’s shortcut and select Run as Administrator.

    And then disable fullscreen optimizations by navigating to the game’s executable file, right-click it, go to Properties > Compatibility, and check Disable fullscreen optimizations.

    Next is to check for background apps because there are overlay programs like Discord, Steam Overlay, or GeForce Experience interferes with game windows. Please disable them temporarily.

    Then update graphics drivers because an outdated drivers can cause display issues. Ensure that your GPU drivers are up to date. Do this by pressig Win + X and select Device Manager. Expand Display adapters. Right-click your graphics card and select Update driver. Choose Search automatically for drivers and follow the prompts.

    Here also the same error on the pc (windows 10 version 19041.207) .... a bag and still nothing of a patch correcting....

    I have this problem too - got it to work once by opening the Xbox app and clicking the play button on the SOR 4 page and as soon as the Xbox app closes open and do it again, and again, and again until eventually the game starts.

    However its not a solution I want to do every time I want to play SOR4...

    It's only this game in my whole Game Pass library that displays this behaviour.
